Breaking: $100K Fee for New H-1B Visas

The United States has introduced a $100,000 annual fee for employers hiring foreign workers through the H-1B visa program. This policy change may significantly limit opportunities for Nigerian professionals and other Immigrants in general hoping to work in the U.S.

According to a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Report in 2023, India made up about 72% of the Total H-1B beneficiaries with a total 279,386, China 11% with a total of 45,344, Nigeria only had about 0.5% with a total of 1,844.

What do you think about this new move from the Trump administration? Some say its a win for US Citizens as it will give them more opportunites but I am curious about what direction the Big Tech companies like the Meta, Google and Microsoft will take.
